Get Involved!

I’m sorry, what was that you just said? You think you can do better? WELL GET DOWN HERE AND PROVE IT THEN! No, really, everyone* is welcome to take part. Come on down, say hi, introduce yourself and (after paying your subs for insurance purposes...) you’re in!

* When we say everyone, we don’t quite mean EVERYONE. For instance, if you are on the FBI’s top 10 most wanted list, you may not attend. (Not sure if you’re on the list? Feel free to check on the FBI’s official website http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/fugitives.htm). If you are fugitives numbers 11 thru 30, references will be required from a minimum of 2 NODA recognised dramatic or operatic societies to show that you haven’t been up to anything naughty. We regret that you will not be considered for the ‘Bad Guy’ or the ‘Back End Of The Horse’ in any pantomime as this would invalidate our insurance.

Next up, there’s no point coming to join us when we’re not going to be there. We have rehearsals from the beginning of February until the middle of May for the play, and from the beginning of September until the beginning of December for the pantomime. If you want to get stuck in with a part straight away, you’ll have to come to one of our readings, the dates of which are on our Calendar page. Now, here’s the important part. Our rehearsals take place at 8pm-10pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Now, to find your nearest Tuesday or Thursday, consult your nearest calendar. But use a regular calendar, as a Mayan calendar (pictured left) won’t help. It’ll look pretty, but it won’t help.

So, you want to join us, but you don’t know where we are? Not a problem! We’ve provided you, right here on this very page, with a map showing you exactly where we are!! We’re located on the corner of Woodthorpe Road and Stanwell Road. There’s a small car park  accessed from Woodthorpe Road, and plenty of street parking in case that is full.
